C4JR’s new Ethical Engagement Toolkit marks a pivotal advancement in the ethical treatment of survivors, fostering an environment where their voices can be elevated based on the respect and dignity survivors deserve. As we commemorate the tenth anniversary of the genocide waged by ISIL against Iraq’s diverse communities, this toolkit stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of ethical engagement and the ongoing journey for justice and reparations for all survivors.

Nobody’s Listening is uniquely positioned to engage the next generation of leaders in global dialogues about human rights, genocide prevention, and extremism. This initiative, through its innovative use of virtual reality and art, seeks to ensure that the stories of the Yazidi people are heard and that concrete steps are taken towards justice and prevention.

On today’s Day of International Criminal Justice, C4JR wishes to draw attention to recent concerning rulings and urge the government of Iraq to pass legislation which incorporates international crimes in domestic legislation, rather than simply referring to it in sentencing.
