On July 3 2021 C4JR held its annual meeting of all members in-person, in Erbil, and virtually. Due to last year’s circumstances, this was the first time many C4JR members had the opportunity to meet in-person since the founding meeting in November 2019.

This year’s meeting provided the opportunity for all 32 Iraqi CSOs to reflect on recent developments related to reparations and accountability for ISIL crimes in Iraq and discuss these developments face-to-face. Most importantly, the C4JR general meeting allowed all the member NGOs to take stock and renew commitment to the C4JR’s main goal: enabling survivors to realize their right to reparations and justice.

During the afternoon panel, member organizations discussed methods for effective collaboration on implementing the Yazidi Women Survivors Law with the Head of the General Directorate of Yazidi Female Survivors’ Affairs Ms. Sarab Alias, representatives of UNAMI, IOM and members of C4JR’s Survivors’ Council.

The C4JR is supported with funding by USAID & GIZ
