State funding in 2022 is crucial to deliver on the Yazidi Survivors Law´s promises

March 3, 2022

At the C4JR Media event marking one year since the adoption of the Yazidi Survivors Law, the General Directorate of Yazidi Female Survivors’ Affairs, Survivors, Civil Society, and the IOM highlighted the Importance of allocating funds necessary for Yazidi Survivors Law Implementation. Delayed and ineffective implementation prolongs the agony and trauma of survivors, their families, and affected communities. C4JR thus urges the Iraqi decision-makers to prioritize swift implementation of the YSL and distribution of benefits to survivors. The first step is the allocation of funding in the Iraqi Federal Budget for 2022.
