Much More Progress Needed for ISIL Survivors to Access Reparation Benefits Detailed in the Yazidi Survivors Law

September 1, 2021

To mark six months from adoption of the landmark Yazidi Female Survivors Law (YSL), C4JR presented its media statement at the in-person press conference in Bagdad held on September 1, 2021. This statement has been produced in collaboration with survivors, and supported by international partners such as Amnesty International and Genocide Watch. As Iraq prepares for national elections in October, C4JR urges the Iraqi government and political actors to prioritize reparations and justice for survivors of ISIL atrocities and demonstrate national unity in supporting the effective implementation of the YSL.
