Shabak Survivor of ISIL Atrocities Layla Hassan Makes a Strong Case for Survivor-centered Justice

On December 19, during an event co-hosted by Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights, Yazda, and the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect, Ms. Layla Hassan, a Shabak survivor of ISIL atrocities and member of Coalition for Just Reparations (C4JR) survivors council made a strong case for survivor-centered justice.

Ms. Hassan has called on the international community to intensify efforts to establish an impartial court to hold ISIL members accountable under Iraqi law.
