C4JR Continues Advocacy for Improving and Enacting Yazidi Women Survivors Bill

C4JR delegates presented the C4JR Draft Law to members of the Iraqi National Council of Representatives and of the Women and Children Affairs Committee Dr. Bahar Mahmoud and Rizan Sheikh Dilir. The two deputies welcomed the C4JR representatives on December 14th 2020 at their office in Sulaymaniyah.

After carefully listening to the C4JR delegates, the MPs said that they will do their best to include C4JR´s suggestions in the forthcoming legislation.

They also highlighted recent efforts of the entire Women and Children Affairs Committee to push forward a special law addressing the plight of all survivors of ISIL crimes. Finally, they promised that they will continue to be engaged in the future.
